Comment: i leased a kia sportage on 7/23 with a trade-in -- to date, 9/28/07 the trade-in has not been paid off - i have made 3 payments on the trade-in and have now received a letter from the loan co. that i have no ins. on the trade-in -- since i traded this car i assumed the ins. would be taken care of - but since the car has not been paid off-- i get a letter. i have been in contact with desert (now AV) kia and have been told numerous times this would be taken care of. as of yesterday i was told that on mon. 10/1/07 the payoff manager, matt zanjani would do a conference call between the loan co., myself and matt to get this pay off made immediately -- i hope for the best and expect another delay -- meanwhile with my many calls -on 9/4 i was told the contract was wrong - i went at once to the dealership and signed a new contract, dated 9/4 - and this did not help in getting this transaction completed. i called the new co. that the lease is going thru and finally on wed. 9/26 was told the acct. was set up- they finally received the paper work from kia -- so i sent my first payment, without a statement. - i can only hope this went thru without a problem. what are my options with this situation. i have been buying cars for over 40 yrs. - never have i had a problem like this.
